“We couldn’t have done it without Lori!

Approximately 8 years ago, we moved to our small 15-acre ranch which has been in the family since the 1970s. The house is one of the original homesteads in this small farming community, now 104 years old. We have done quite a bit with our home’s infrastructure, but very minimal work within the house. It has all the original “craftsman” woodwork in the dining and living rooms, so we wanted to keep it period, with a few modern amenities. We had a vision of what we wanted to do and how we wanted it to look. At first we thought about doing the work ourselves in small increments but had no idea where to start, and the thought of having to find contractors and subcontractors was just another obstacle.

We did a little research in our area on local designers, and Lori piqued our interested based on all the wonderful reviews. We contacted Lori, and within a few months, the renovation began.

Originally, we needed to finish the kitchen we had partially renovated years ago, completely revamp the laundry and mudroom, and refinish all the wood flooring throughout the remainder of the downstairs. But once we had everything opened up, we decided to include a small bathroom, and a flight of stairs leading upstairs.

Lori managed the complete project and bought in her own team of contractors and subs; and they were fantastic! Her many years of experience were instrumental throughout the whole process. She saw our vision and made recommendations when and where needed. It’s one thing to imagine what it will look like in your head, and another to see it come to fruition. It turned out even better than anticipated! There is no doubt in our minds that we couldn’t have done it without Lori; and we’d do it again!”
